PLOW BLADE CONSTRUCTION
The reliable, 16-gauge, powder-coated steel moldboard is 23.5" tall and available in 6'8" and 7'2" widths for rugged plowing performance without the extra weight.

The DEFENDER™ snowplow comes standard with a high-carbon steel cutting edge that reduces wear and extends the life of the blade.

We manufacture our own hydraulic components to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability, so that you get a hydraulics system that's not only fast and responsive, but that's built to last season after season.

Hydraulic Scrape Lock holds the blade down for more efficient scraping and clean back dragging.

TRIP PROTECTION
The two-spring blade protects your snowplow and truck when striking hidden obstacles.

Elastomeric bumpers reduce jarring and soften the blade return when tripping occur, to extend the life of your truck and plow.

STRUCTURAL REINFORCEMENT
Six vertical ribs provide unmatched structural reinforcement, delivering exceptional torsional strength and rigidity to eliminate blade twisting.

The high-strength steel base channel provides extra support along the bottom of the snow blade.

The 1" diameter pivot bushing secures the plow in place, ensuring proper alignment and reducing stress on the overall plow assembly.

EASY ON/EASY OFF
A simple mechanical attaching system makes hooking up and removing your plow quick and easy.

Attaching the DEFENDER snowplow can be done quickly and easily by one person and without tools.
​
Simply drive into the attaching arms on the plow, then connect the two-spring loaded pins. Remove the stand, and finally, connect the electrical plugs.
​
Detaching the plow is just as easy. The receivers are detachable to maintain ground clearance.
6.
GROUND CLEARANCE
When the plow is not in use, quickly maximize vehicle ground clearance with the removable receiver brackets. No tools required.

SECURITY GUARD™ ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM
The exclusive WESTERN SECURITY GUARD™ snowplow anti-theft system is a safe and secure way to electronically lock your snowplow when it is detached from your truck as a deterrent from theft.

CONTROL OPTIONS
Choose between a CabCommand hand-held control with push buttons or a joystick control, based on operator preference. For efficient, precise and intuitive blade control while plowing, both controls feature power "on" and "float" LED lights, backlighting for night operation, and plug-in connector for easy removal.

NIGHTHAWK™ HALOGEN HEADLAMPS
The new NIGHTHAWK™ dual-halogen headlamps, standard on all WESTERN truck plows, make the road more visible than ever before, keeping you safer on the job.

The ULTRAFINISH™ baked-on powder coat with epoxy primer is standard on all WESTERN plows, providing outstanding protection against wear and rust.

SRAPE LOCK
The WESTERN Scrape Lock system locks the plow in any position you put it in to give you a cleaner scrape, especially while back dragging. With the plow locked in place, Scrape Lock gives you the performance of a larger plow without the extra weight and without the need to push any extra buttons.

STEEL CUTTING EDGE
This 3/8" cutting edge fits the same hole pattern as the 1/4" cutting edge that comes standard on your blade from the factory. Made of abrasion-resistant, high-carbon steel, the 3/8" cutting edge gives your DEFENDER™ snowplow extra wearability by increasing the surface area at the point of contact.
2.
RUBBER DEFLECTOR
Control the snow and always see where you're going with optional deflectors. Our 2-ply rubber snow deflectors, include bolt-on steel plates to ensure proper positioning of the deflectors to keep your view clear and clean.
4.
CURB WEAR GUARDS
Go right up to the edge with bolt-on curb guards. Protect the outer edge of your snowplow from wear when plowing along sidewalks and curbs. Made of cast metal, each curb guard effectively protects the outer edge of the plow.
